START TIME: 7:30 a.m. (7 a.m. for walkers)
START LINE: Oilfields Arena, Diamond Valley (formerly Black Diamond)
FINISH LINE: Millarville Racetrack, Millarville Farmers’ Market
Two people use the registration process to enter as a Team. The first person runs 9 KM, the second person runs 12.1 KM.

Oilfields Arena, the start line, is at 3 St. and 5 Ave SW.
The relay transition station is on the left of the map, where the arrow is on the “Friendship Trail.”
The start line and the relay transition station are about 1.5 KM apart, a roughly 15 minute walk.
OUR SUGGESTION FOR A PLAN
1) There is a new parking lot on the north side of Hwy 22, across from 5th St SW. This is halfway between the start line and the relay transition.
2) Both of you walk 10 minutes to the start line at Oilfields Arena.
3) After the first runner takes off, the second runner either hops on a bus heading to the relay station OR walks 15 minutes with our Relay Guide to the relay area, crossing the Sheep River on a pedestrian bridge on Centre Ave.
4) The first runner, after finishing at KM 9, collects their finishers medal, food bag/bottle of water PLUS THE CAR KEYS, walks a few minutes back to the parking lot along Hwy 22 and 5 St. SW to their car, drives to Millarville Racetrack via Turner Valley/Highway 22/549 and watches the second runner finish the race.

As an alternative to driving, we will position a shuttle bus at the corner of Racetrack Road (402 Ave) and Riverford Road (160 St.), very close to the halfway relay transition. This bus will depart back to Millarville Racetrack at 9 a.m. One departure only. It will arrive at the Farmers’ Market about 9:25 a.m. or 9:30 a.m.
OUR OPINION – swapping keys and driving yourself to the finish line probably gives you more flexibility versus the bus and a more timely arrival at the Farmers’ Market.
